(WWJ) -- A drunk driver is behind bars after driving more than 100 mph the wrong way on I-75 in Oakland County early Saturday morning.
Michigan State Police say around 4 a.m. they started receiving calls of a wrong-way driver who was headed south in the northbound lanes of I-75 between Grange Hall Road and Dixie Highway -- between Holly and Clarkston.
Troopers found the driver near Sashabaw and entered the freeway directly behind the suspect's vehicle with their lights and sirens activated.
Once the driver finally stopped, troopers discovered he was intoxicated and unaware he was going the wrong way on the freeway, MSP said.
The driver, whose name or age were not released, submitted to a blood draw and was lodged. Police did not reveal the results of his blood draw.
Authorities did not release any details about possible charges or a court date.
