DETROIT (WWJ) — Two suspects are in custody in connection with car break-ins and a possible murder, thanks to the help of a Michigan State Police helicopter.
Trooper 2, the MSP helicopter that serves Metro Detroit from above, was patrolling above the city Friday night when they got word that Harper Woods and Detroit police were trying to track down two suspects.
MSP officials said the suspects were "breaking into cars and possibly wanted in a recent homicide."
MSP shared a video on Saturday showing the chopper guiding police officers on the ground to a home in Detroit. One suspect is seen fleeing through backyards before being brought down and arrested.
Authorities did not release any details about the suspects or the possible murder they were wanted for.
No other information has been released.
