(WWJ) A child is recovering from a crash that left her pinned under a vehicle in Brownstown Township.

Michigan State Police say troopers were called to I-75 on Sibley Road for a personal injury crash with an ejection around 3:10 a.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival, first responders from Brownstown Fire were helping a child who was trapped beneath the minivan.

Her age has not been released.

State police say a pickup truck struck the minivan, causing the rear hatch of the minivan to open. The child, who was laying across the rear bench seat, was thrown from the vehicle.

She is being treated at Children’s Hospital. State Police describe her injuries as “very minor,” and she is expected to make a full recovery.
