EXETER TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - A Downriver home went up in flames on Saturday morning and crews from several departments are working to contain the fire that shutdown traffic through the area.
According to the Exeter Township Fire Department, the large fire engulfed a home near Telegraph Road, just north of Carleton Rockwood Road sometime in the late morning hours on Nov. 4.
The department confirmed with WWJ that multiple departments are on the scene. Telegraph Road has been shut down in both directions as crews continue to battle the blaze.
Fire officials said that it's a very active scene and drives should avoid the area. There's no word on any injuries or how the fire began at this time.
