DETROIT (WWJ) -- Two new restaurants are up and running at Little Caesars Arena, as both the Pistons and Red Wings seasons are well underway.
The Mixing Board and PointsBet Sports Bar -- both operated by Delaware North -- recently opened at LCA, bringing new concepts to the spaces previously occupied by Sports & Social Detroit and Kid Rock’s Made In Detroit.

Both restaurants, with street-side and in-arena entrances, are currently open during Wings and Pistons games, concerts and events at the arena, as well as non-event days.
Earlier this year the Red Wings announced a partnership with sportsbook operator PointsBet, and as part of that agreement they’ve launched PointsBet Sports Bar in the space formerly occupied by Sports & Social.
The full-service restaurant features betting themed pub fare on the menu, along with nearly 30 TVs, special guests, unique programing, VIP access and gaming promotions.
While the space isn’t a sportsbook itself, select TVs throughout the bar offer integrated live odds, giving real-time updates for fans as they monitor their favorite teams while placing live bets on their phones or mobile devices.
The Mixing Board, located where Kid Rock’s restaurant used to be, “was carefully curated to showcase the uniqueness of Detroit,” according to a Delaware North press release. The full-service restaurant has a stage for live music and spoken word artists, while the menu features locally sourced ingredients and offerings unique to the region, “along with décor that pays homage to the city’s rich automotive, musical and industrial history.”
The Mixing Board menu includes starters, salads, sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, sharables, desserts, craft cocktails and craft beer – all with a decidedly local twist, with items like “The Woodward Stack” double cheeseburger and “Motor City Margherita” flatbread.
Both individual and shared items are uniquely presented and served on custom wooden boards, which were created special for The Mixing Board menu.
“When developing the concept for The Mixing Board, we initially built around two key focus areas: community involvement and a Michigan-first menu,” Tim Martin, GM for Delaware North at LCA said, per a press release. “This is a venue for local artists to share their work – a place where the community comes together. And when we began testing service styles, one thing that jumped out to us was the use of custom wooden boards to serve meals. There is a real communal feel about it – especially for the sharable portion of our menu – and it’s something we immediately gravitated toward.”
Mike’s Pizza Bar, also located inside LCA is now operated by Delaware North. It had previously been managed by Olympia Entertainment. It will continue to serve craft beer and pizza by the slice, as the restaurant gives a nod to the late Mike Ilitch’s entrepreneurial roots and first pizza experience that ultimately led to the founding of Little Caesars, the world’s largest carry-out pizza chain.
