LYON TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Four people are recovering from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash on Thursday evening near Higgins Lake, state police said.

Troopers confirmed the crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. on June 30, at the intersection of N Old 27 Highway and County Road 104.

According to the initial investigation, a newer model Ford Edge pulling a trailer with jet skis was traveling westbound on County Road 104 when it approached the intersection of Old-27 Highway/N Harrison Road.

At the same time, police said a GMC Sierra pickup truck was traveling north on Old-27 Hwy when the SUV failed to stop at a stop sign and crossed the road in front of the oncoming truck.

The Sierra collided into the driver's side of the SUV, causing the jet ski to fly off the trailer and both vehicles to careen off the side of the road.
