WEXFORD COUNTY (WWJ) -- A northern Michigan crash sent a man, who was not wearing a seatbelt, to the hospital with a head injury.
On Wednesday, Michigan State Police troopers were dispatched to a crash on southbound US-131 in Liberty Township at approximately 1 p.m.
According to authorities, a 67-year-old man driving southbound in a Pontiac Torrent slowed down to pass two cars parked on the right-hand shoulder of the road.
At the same time, a 64-year-man driving southbound in a Jeep Gladiator did not see the Pontiac slow down and ended up smashing into it from behind.
The driver of the Jeep was not wearing a seatbelt and officials stated that his head appeared to have struck the windshield. He was transported to a nearby hospital for a head injury.
The driver of the Pontiac was not injured.
