Another deadly shooting unfolded overnight in Detroit as one man was killed and three others injured after a woman asked family for help handling a man who had allegedly assaulted her.
Police said it happened near Marlowe and Midland, and Hubbell.
According to police, a woman who said she was assaulted by a man called family members to the scene. One of the victim's family members was shot in the head and killed.
Three people, including the suspect, were injured and are hospitalized.
"She ended up contacting some family members who then responded to the scene here," said Detroit police Cpt. Michael Chambers. "It appears at that time, the perpetrator who assaulted her and the individuals who came up to the scene here engaged in some gunfire."
Killed was a 32-year-old man. Three others were also hurt, including a 25-year-old man who was last reported to be in critical condition.
The two other victims are expected to recover, police said..
