Another event is being delayed because of the ongoing pandemic: This time it's the Outdoorama.
It was set for later this month but organizers announced it would be delayed until next year.
Organizers say their primary concern with holding the event was being able to provide a quality shopping experience while maintaining the health and safety of the community.
But there's a bright spot for fans of the event as its corollary -- the Ultimate Fishing Show -- is still scheduled to happen in March.
"The Largest Pure Fishing Show in America has moved to new dates in 2021 – March 25-28! Why is it the Largest? Because the Suburban Collection Showplace added 100,000 sq. ft. making it 7 acres big, filled with hundreds of booths of fishing tackle including specialty baits that are only available here, once a year. It is also the largest because of YOU!" the website says about the event.
"There are more anglers within a one-hour drive of Detroit than any other market in the U.S. This is the largest fishing market in the U.S. Shop every kind of fishing boat or engine sold in Michigan by dealers that know how to rig ‘me right. Meet the owner operators of outfitters, lodges, resorts, charters and guides from all over the continent before their calendars fill. People who like to catch more fish every year don’t miss this once a year opportunity."
