FRENCHTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WWJ) -- Police have identified a person of interest related to the armed robbery at a Days Inn & Suites in Monroe County earlier this week.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office released photos Thursday of a woman that they say is a person of interest after hotel guests and employees were held at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon.
Shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday, two men entered the Days Inn in Frenchtown -- just north of Monroe -- and ordered the desk clerk, several guests and several other employees to get on the ground.
The thieves made away with an unknown amount of cash from the register and safe.
Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying the woman shown in the pictures, but authorities have not released any details as to why she is believed to be a person of interest.
Detectives are actively following up on leads and will provide more information when it becomes available, the sheriff's office said.
Police released information late Tuesday night regarding the two suspects in the robbery, saying one suspect was wearing a dark green hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a face covering. The other male suspect was wearing a white hooded jacket, black pants and a face covering.
Anyone who recognizes the woman in the pictures or has information regarding the robbery is asked to contact the Monroe County Sheriff's Office at 734-240-7530.
