DETROIT (WWJ) -- The Detroit Police Department is seeking tips from the public as it works to track down a person who shot a man in a liquor store parking lot.
Shortly before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6, investigators said a 39-year-old man was getting into his car in the lot — in the 8500 block of Linwood, near W. Philadelphia St. — when he was approached by an unknown suspect.
An argument ensued, police said, and the suspect pulled a gun and shot the victim.
The gunman then fled the scene in a dark colored sedan, and the victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
While the man did survive the shooting, there is no information on his current condition.
On Monday, the DPD released a photo of a man who was near the scene around the time of of the incident. Police called the man in the photo a "person of interest" in this crime, and said detectives would like speak with him.
