Police chase from Ann Arbor to Brighton ends after suspect strikes guardrail on US-23

BRIGHTON (WWJ) - A woman led state police on a wild chase across two Metro Detroit counties on Tuesday morning, ending when she wrecked her vehicle on US-23.

Michigan State Police said the pursuit began in Ann Arbor and ended near Brighton in Livingston County around 9 a.m. when the suspect's vehicle struck a guard rail on US 23 north of I-96.

Troopers from the Brighton Post said the woman was taken to the hospital to be evaluated, but no update on her condition was provided.

State police said no other injuries were reported.

No other information about what led to the chase was given by police other than it originated in Washtenaw County. The suspect's identity was not released.
