(WWJ) Detroit police are searching for a driver who fled the scene of a deadly hit-and-run crash on the city's west side.
Police are asking for the public's help to find the suspect in the incident the night of Thursday, Oct. 1, in the area of Plymouth Rd. and Rutherford.
According to investigators, the victim was trying to cross the street in front of a liquor store, at around 9:25 p.m., when he was hit by a white car.
The driver didn't stop, police said, continuing westbound on Plymouth.
The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police released a security camera image of the suspect vehicle on Monday, hoping someone in the community will come forward with a tip that helps them solve this case.
