BLOOMFIELD TWP. (WWJ) — A man is facing charges in Oakland County after allegedly stealing a woman’s gold chain while he was working on her home.

Glenn Richards was arraigned last week on one count of larceny in a building, stemming from an incident at the victim’s home in December.

Bloomfield Township police officials say the woman called police on Dec. 21 to report the stolen chain. The woman said Richards had fixed her floor that day and later on she noticed her father’s 14K gold chain was missing.

The gold rope chain was kept on a statue that was inside of the bathroom, according to police.

Police officials say that same day Richards sold the chain to a pawn shop for $200.

Richards was arrested on Feb. 6 and arraigned the same day. He was given a $25,000 personal bond and released from custody.

The police department did not release any information about Richards’ next court date.
