(WWJ) Roseville Police are asking for tips from the public as they search for a missing mother and her three children.
Police said Ruth Ann Amo, 32, is "hiding" the kids from law enforcement and their dad after she lost custody of the children.
On July 8, an order was signed by a judge in Macomb County Circuit Court awarding custody of 7-year-old Samuel Tenny, 11-year-old Vanessa Tenny and 12-year-old Bella Tenny to their father.
Amo refused to surrender the kids, police said, and has since disappeared along with the children.
Roseville Deputy Police Chief Mitchell Berlin said detectives could use some help to track down the kids.
"Due to the timeframe they've been missing, being hidden from us...we're concerned for their safety and we want to make sure they're OK," Berlin said. "We don't have any inclination that the kids would be injured by the mother. We just want to make sure that they're safe and healthy, and that they're returned to the parent that the court recognized."
"We've exhausted leads in several other states that were provided to us and came up empty, so everything's on the table right now," he added.
Amo is described as a white female, 5’4” tall and weighing around 140 lbs.
There is no description of a car at this time.
"No vehicle. Her primary vehicle is still in the city of Roseville, and it has not moved," Berlin said.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Amo and her children are asked to call Det. Kurt Latour of the Roseville Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at 586-447-4509.
