WARREN (WWJ) -- A woman who was kidnapped in Warren has been found safe, but her abductor remains on the run.
Michelle Jackson, 27, was taken from a Subway on 9 Mile and Schoenherr around 2 p.m. on Tuesday by her ex-boyfriend, Adrian Brown, 31.
Warren Police Commissioner Bill Dwyer said that Jackson was released by Brown around 8:00 p.m. last night with no injuries.
A burned maroon Chevy Suburban, similar to the vehicle the suspect was driving, was discovered Wednesday morning at 8 Mile and I-75, and may have provided police with a break in the case, WWJ's Charlie Langton reports.
In a statement, Dwyer urged the suspect to surrender himself to police.
"He's going to be arrested. We do have a very active investigation going on and we're working with the U.S. Marshals," Dwyer said. "I would say to him if he gets the message to turn himself in to the Warren Police Department as soon as possible."
Brown is described as 5'6 and 151 lbs. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black shirt with white graphics on the back.
Executive Lt. David Kriss says the the suspect was sentenced earlier this month for unlawful imprisonment and was wearing a GPS tether, which was recently cut.
Kriss added Brown is considered "armed and dangerous" and that Brown implied he had a gun when he abducted her.
"It's a huge cause for concern," Kriss told WWJ's Amber McDonald, "The fact that he's already got a tether on, he's already going to prison…his mindset may be that he doesn't have a whole lot to lose."
Brown was last seen driving a burgundy 2015-2020 or 2021 SUV, either a Chevy Suburban, Cadillac or GMC Denali with Florida license plates. The back window was broken. It was last seen near 7 Mile and I-75 in Detroit.

Anyone with information is asked to call Warren Police at (586) 574-4877.
