DETROIT (WWJ) -- A wintry mix in the forecast could make an slippery mess of the roads in Southeast Michigan, starting in the early morning hours on Saturday.
AccuWeather said this will all began sometime after 2 a.m., when periods of rain and sleet arrive... with a little slushy snow possibly in the mix in some parts of metro Detroit.

And while we're not expected to see a great deal of accumulation, travel conditions on local roads and freeways are the biggest concern.
"There could be some slippery spots by morning; we'll be down near the freezing mark," said AccuWeather Meteorologist John Feerick on WWJ Newsradio 950 on Friday.
"Then periods of ran, sleet and snow tomorrow. There could be a few slippery spots in the city, but certainly to the north and west that's where we'll have most of the problems, with temperatures a little bit colder...and we're likely to see a little bit more snow there."
Feerick said suburbs to the north and west of Detroit could see a slushy inch or two of snow before Sunday.
After some near-records highs during the week, Feerick said temperatures will return to normal for December, with a high on Saturday on 35 degrees, and a low of 26. Sunday metro Detroit will see a little bit of sunshine, with a high around 34 degrees.
