Two men wanted for attempted murder in Roseville are arrested after police chase in Detroit: MSP

ROSEVILLE (WWJ) -- Two attempted murder suspects are in custody after a police chase Tuesday night.

Michigan State Police said the pursuit started on the far east side of Detroit, just before 10 p.m. after Detroit police spotted two suspects in a Chrysler 300 who were wanted for an attempted murder in Roseville.


MSP troopers arrived to assist, and tried to pull the suspects over at Liberal and Redmond, but they sped off. The troopers followed, but lost sight of the car near 7 Mile Rd. rand Kelly.

MSP said then suspects then parked the car in a neighborhood, got out and ran.

Troopers set a perimeter in the area, and a K9 teams were able to track down the two men, ages 18 and 20.

MSP said the suspects, whose names have not yet been released, were both taken into custody without further incident.

"Both suspects were turned over to Roseville PD on their initial charges," said MSP First Lt. Mike Shaw. "We will also be seeking charges for the driver for Fleeing to Elude. Great work by all three departments to get these dangerous persons off the street."

MSP did not immediately release any details about the Roseville case.

Charges from the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office are pending.
