(WWJ) A Roseville man is in custody on gun and drug charges following a multi-week narcotics investigation by the Shelby Township Police Special Investigations Unit.
According to the Shelby Township Police Department, detectives began monitoring 34-year-old Ryan Jackson in April, eventually using several controlled cocaine purchases to secure a search warrant for his home.
Police noted that Jackson is a convicted felon and is legally barred from owning weapons or ammunition.

On Thursday, May 7, tactical teams executed the warrant and detained Jackson after he left the house.
Inside the home, investigators found and seized cocaine along with multiple firearms and ammo.
Jackson was arraigned in 39th District Court on Friday on charges of possession of narcotics, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, and two counts related to illegal firearm possession.
“Let me be clear: Shelby Township will not tolerate criminals who bring illegal guns and narcotics into our community," said Shelby Township Police Chief Robert Shelide, in a statement.
"Our SIU detectives acted swiftly and decisively to shut down this operation and remove dangerous weapons from the hands of a convicted felon. Anyone who threatens the safety of our residents will be met with the full force of our department. We will continue to pursue criminals relentlessly and protect this community without hesitation.”
Jackson's bond was set at $250,000.
