Detroit man hospitalized after being stabbed at ex-girlfriend's house in Mount Clemens; Suspect at large

MOUNT CLEMENS (WWJ) — A Clinton Township man is on the run after a stabbing in Mount Clemens Wednesday morning that sent another man to the hospital.

Police were called to a home on Boehme Street around 7:15 a.m. after getting reports of a stabbing.

The suspect, whose name and age have not been released, allegedly stabbed a 38-year-old Detroit man several times, according to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office.

Police have not released a photo or a description of the suspect, who officials say had been staying with the victim’s ex-girlfriend in Mount Clemens.

Responding deputies found the victim with multiple stab wounds to his abdomen. The victim told police he was visiting his ex-girlfriend’s home when he and the suspect got into an argument, which eventually escalated to violence.

The suspect allegedly ran from the scene after the stabbing. Authorities were actively searching for the suspect, as of Wednesday afternoon.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was listed in stable condition.

The sheriff’s office says they believe the incident was isolated and the community is not in danger relating to the suspect.
