Teen brothers charged in murder of 17-year-old Warren woman

(WWJ) Two young men have been charged in the deadly shooting of a 17-year-old Warren woman.

Brothers Patrick White , 17, and Jayshun White, 18, of Detroit were charged in the case. A third suspect--Javis Fisher II, 18, also of Detroit--was charged on March 1st.


Police say the victim was in the backseat passenger in a car with a Hazel Park man, 19, and another Warren teen when she was shot in the area of Clayburn and Majestic on February 22 in Detroit.

Prosecutors say Fisher shot her and assaulted the other victims during a robbery. A motive for the killing, and whether or not Fisher and the White brothers knew the victims, remains unclear.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, was rushed to the hospital where she passed away.

Both brothers were charged with Felony Murder, two counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, Assault with Intent to Rob - Armed, and four counts of Felony Firearm. The defendants were arraigned and remanded to jail in 36th District Court on Friday. They are due back in court on March 18, 2021.

On Monday, Fisher was charged with Felony Murder, two counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, Assault with Intent to Rob - Armed, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and four counts of Felony Firearm.
