DETROIT (WWJ) – A teenager is dead following a shooting on Detroit's northwest side Monday evening.
The shooting happened just before 5:40 p.m. on Ferguson Street near 7 Mile Road, according to police.
The teen boy, whose name and age have not yet been released, ran to the 19100 block of Biltmore and collapsed.
He was then taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities have not disclosed a possible motive in the shooting, and it was not immediately clear what happened in the moments prior.
Police are actively searching for a suspect, but have not released a description.
