DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit Tigers Opening Day is one of the city's biggest parties every year, but the city's culture is built around festivities year-round.

On a new Daily J, WWJ's Zach Clark explores some other Detroit traditions that define the region.

From Paczki Day instead of Fat Tuesday, to the parade and Lions game on Thanksgiving, Detroit has deep-rooted traditions for every holiday.

It's not just holidays that have Detroiters partying, however. Events like the Dream Cruise and the Detroit Grand Prix bring people from around the country to the city.

Detroit will continue to celebrate the good things life has to offer in a way unique to the city, reminding everyone why Detroiters are fiercely loyal to their community.
