DETROIT (WWJ) -- Devastated loved ones described Natayla Morse, murdered in Detroit, as "the most caring and thoughtful soul ever."
Family members and authorities are asking the public for tips in the case of the 24-year-old woman, whose body was found in the area of Lenox and Canfield on the city's east side early in the morning of Saturday, June 4.
According to Crime Stoppers of Michigan, Morse was assaulted, beaten to death and "dumped in a field."
There have been no arrests in the case, and no suspects have been named or described.
Now Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for the tip that leads to the arrest of Morse's killer.
On a Gofundme page seeking donations to pay for the young woman's funeral, a family member said Morse was slain the day before her twin sister's graduation.
"I couldn’t imagine who would do this to our baby," Chastity Morse wrote. "She was very determined and did everything she could for her family. She was always a pleasure to be around. Beautiful both in and out. JUSTICE for our innocent Natayla. Anything helps for our baby girl."
As the investigation continues, anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP (1-800-773-2587). Tips may also be submitted online at this link.
As always, tipsters may stay 100% anonymous, will not be asked their names, to speak to police or to testify in court.
Cash rewards are paid by Crime Stoppers upon an arrest in a case.
