TAYLOR (WWJ) -- A young girl is in the hospital after being mauled by a dog Downriver Wednesday morning.
According to a report by WXYZ-TV, police responded to Robbinwood Villa Mobile Home Park in Taylor around 11:30 a.m.
The 3-year-old girl's mother said the two of them were outside while she was working in the yard. That's when her daughter wandered off.
The mom didn't realize what had happened until someone in the mobile home park brought the inured little girl back home after the attack.
Police said the child suffered bites to the face and other serious injuries.
The good news is they don't appear to be life threatening, according to reports.
