1. Romeo Peach Festival

It's a Labor Day Weekend tradition in Macomb County, and it's absolutely delicious! The Romeo Peach Festival offers plenty of fresh peaches, of course, and a variety of things to do — with not one but THREE parades, a 5k/10k run, book sale, carnival rides, kids activities, live music, and more.

2. Michigan State Fair

Thursday, Aug. 28-Monday, Sept. 1

It'll be great weather this holiday weekend for the Michigan State Fair in Novi. The event features carnival rides, a stunt show, live entertainment, agricultural and livestock exhibits, food vendors and more! Key attractions also include racing pigs, the Rock-N-Roll K9s, and Flagstar Farmers Market.

3. Arts, Beats & Eats

Downtown Royal Oak
Friday, Aug. 29-Monday, Sept. 1

Attendees can shop a wide away of art by more than 120 artists and enjoy live music from 200+ acts across ten stages, with with Sugar Ray and Neon Trees headlining Friday night. Joe Nichols and Randy Houser headline country night on Sunday, while Monday is all about the 90s with Vanilla Ice and Rob Base. And don't forget the eats — with more than 50 Michigan restaurants and food trucks selling a variety of snacks, sandwiches, desserts and more.

4. Detroit Jazz Festival

Downtown & Midtown Detroit
Friday, Aug. 29-Monday, Sept. 1

The 2025 Detroit Jazz Festival is a free, four-day event featuring world-class jazz artists including Jason Moran, Branford Marsalis, Maria Schneider, and local legendsJames Carter and Marion Hayden. Performances will take place on multiple stages, including those in Hart PlazaCadillac Square, and the Gretchen C. 5. Blake's Sunflower Festival

Saturday, Aug. 30-Monday, Sep. 1
Blake's Orchard & Cider Mill, Armada
