FORT GRATIOT (WWJ) – "Gotta catch… the suspects?"

Police officials in St. Clair County are asking for help identifying a man who was allegedly part of a trio that stole nearly $500 worth of Pokemon cards from Walmart.

The alleged theft happened on Oct. 24 when a man pushing a stroller, accompanied by another man and a woman, walked into the Fort Gratiot Walmart around lunchtime, according to the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office.

"Maybe the trio was looking for a last minute Halloween costume or needed some diapers? Nope," a post on the sheriff's office's Facebook page on Saturday said.

Officials say they had one thing on their minds: Pokemon cards.

They put nearly $500 worth of "Pikachu and gang" into the empty stroller, which was left at the store while they fled both on foot and in a car, according to the sheriff's office.

Two of the suspects have been identified, officials said, but they're still searching for the third, asking for tips from the public in identifying him.

"Gotta catch 'em all!" the Facebook post said, invoking the popular anime show and card game's theme song.

"So while you're scrolling Facebook, Insta, or maybe he's on TikTok?...keep an eye out for the male below," the post said.

Anyone who recognizes the man — seen in the photo wearing a black Nike t-shirt and black Vans flat bill hat —is asked to call the detective bureau at 810-987-1711.

While officials said the other suspects have been identified, it was not immediately clear whether they had been taken into custody.
