(WWJ) President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit St. Clair County this weekend, for a Sunday, Oct. 25 rally aimed at energizing Republican voters in Michigan ahead of the upcoming midterms elections.

Port Huron city officials confirmed that the event will take place at McMorran Place Arena in downtown Port Huron.

The visit comes as national Republican leaders make a push across pivotal swing states to boost GOP turnout and secure key legislative and executive seats.

A limited number of tickets for the rally are available to the public at this link.

With Metro Detroit and Michigan's Thumb region playing a vital role in statewide outcomes, President Trump’s Port Huron stop underscores the strategic weight Michigan carries on the national electoral map.

What are Republicans up against in Michigan?

Despite strong conservative support in rural pockets of the state, Trump and the broader GOP face headwind challenges among Michigan’s agricultural community.

Trade tensions and international tariffs continue to ripple through the agricultural sector, leaving local growers and farm businesses grappling with squeezed profit margins, retaliatory trade hurdles, and shifting global commodity markets.

At the same time, cost-of-living concerns dominate conversations among voters across Metro Detroit and the broader state. Inflation, rising grocery costs, and elevated housing prices have made general affordability the paramount issue for Michiganders heading to the polls. Candidates on both sides of the aisle are actively competing to convince voters that their economic plans offer the fastest path toward financial relief.

Key races on the ballot in Michigan:

The rally arrives as Michigan voters prepare to decide several high-stakes statewide contests.

  • Michigan Governor: Democrat Jocelyn Benson and Republican John James are among the qualified candidates running for Governor of Michigan.
  • U.S. Senate: Democrat Abdul El-Sayed and Republican Mike Rogers are among the qualified candidates competing for the U.S. Senate seat in Michigan.
  • U.S. House & State Legislature: Battleground congressional districts across Metro Detroit and competitive majorities in the state legislature make every precinct across St. Clair County vital ground for both parties.

Election day is November 3. For complete details on voting locations and registration requirements, refer to official state election resources at the Michigan Department of State Voter Portal.
