DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are looking two men who were caught on video as they firebombed a home on the city's west side.
The Detroit Fire Investigation Division, a joint task force between the
Detroit Police and Fire Departments, is asking for the public's help to identify the suspect, wanted on arson charges in connection with the incident last spring.
According to investigators, the two suspects approached the house — a "well-maintained" short-term rental property in the 16800 block of Fielding Street at around 10:15 p.m. on May 9, 2024, and attempted to throw two Molotov cocktails inside.

A Molotov cocktail, also known as a "bottle bomb," is a weapon typically made of a glass container filled with a flammable substance and equipped with a fuse, which is lit and then thrown by hand.
One did get inside, causing fire and smoke damage to the home, police said.
No one was inside the house at the time, and no one was injured.
Police said the owner had renters scheduled to come the next day.
On Dec. 11, police release surveillance footage of the incident, in hope that someone will come forward with information about the suspects.
Anyone recognizes the suspects, or has any information about this crime, is asked to call the Detroit Fire Investigation Division tip line at
