
DETROIT (WWJ) -- Michigan State Police are investigating after an unidentified woman was found alone and injured, lying on a freeway ramp Sunday night.
MSP troopers responded the the eastbound I-96 ramp to Greenfield in Detroit at around 10:10 p.m. on Oct. 5, after reports came in about a woman who was in the roadway.
Police said several Good Samaritans stopped to help the woman, who was found facedown on the shoulder, conscious but only semi-coherent.
She was taken to a hospital, where doctors found she had scrape on her hip and road rash on her back.
Investigators are trying to figure out the woman she was hit by a car, possibility assaulted, or pushed out of a vehicle. Police said no witnesses saw what happened, and there was no evidence of a crash.
Monday morning, the woman was still at the hospital receiving medical treatment.
She is described as a Black female, in her 30s, 5’1'' to 5’3'' tall, and weighing around 130 lbs. Police said she may wear a light red or pink wig.
