DETROIT (WWJ) - Witnesses say an uninsured driver with no license needs to be taken off the road after she allegedly sped off the freeway, hit another vehicle and crashed into the front of a driving test center in Detroit on Tuesday morning.
WWJ's Charlie Langton reported live from the scene where a blue vehicle sat smashed up against Same Day Road Test on 9139 Cadieux Road near I-94 and Harper.
Fortunately there were no injuries as a result of the wreck, but those who saw the incident say the driver could learn a thing or two from the driving school they crashed into.
"Witnesses say that a driver was exiting the westbound I-94 ramp at Cadieux and for whatever reason, then was speeding off the freeway, blew a red light and then hit Ashley Dennis, who spun around, and... the driver then crashed into a driving school."
Dennis told Langton that the at-fault driver was unlicensed and uninsured -- and definitely doesn't need to be behind the wheel of any vehicle.
"I don't know what was her problem this morning," Dennis said. "Why she thought she could just speed past a busy intersection like that, but she doesn't need to be on the road."
Langton said no one was hurt in the incident and while the at-fault driver's vehicle was pretty banged up, there is no damage reported to the driving school.
No other details on the incident were released.
