2 suspects wanted in shooting of man after argument at gas station in Southwest Detroit [PHOTOS]

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police are still searching for a wanted gunman, along with his accomplice, after a man was shot in the parking lot of a Southwest Detroit gas station last fall.

The victim did survive the shooting, early in the morning of Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, in the 4300 block of W. Vernor Hwy., according to Detroit Police.

At around 12:35 a.m., police said the two male suspects — one wearing black, and one wearing white — approached the victim, a 37-year-old man.

After a "verbal altercation ensued," police said the suspect wearing a black jacket pulled a gun and fired a shot, wounding the victim.

The suspect and his companion then fled the scene on foot.

The victim was taken to a hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound, and has since been released.

Police in October released photos of the two suspects, in hopes that someone will recognize them, but they remain on the loose.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is now offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to their arrest.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 1-800-SPEAK-UP (800-773-2587), or send a tip in online via www.1800speakup.org.
