DETROIT (WWJ) -- A Wayne County man who fled Michigan State Police troopers twice has been arrested.
On Wednesday. troopers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Connor Street and Mack Avenue in Detroit -- but MSP said as they approached the vehicle, the driver fled at a high rate of speed.
However, they were able to obtain the car's registration plate and visually identify the driver, which they used to develop a suspect.
The following day, on Thursday, troopers arrived at a housing complex in Wayne where they continued their investigation. While checking the area, they found the suspect in the same vehicle.
He then fled at a high rate of speed again and troopers lost sight of his car.
The troopers ended up going back to the complex and when the suspect returned a short time later, MSP took him into custody.
The suspect is currently lodged at the Detroit Detention Center for an outstanding felony warrant.
Charges are currently being considered for the two fleeing incidents.
