(WWJ) -- It's not record-breaking, but it's still a lot of money.
If you're feeling lucky, you might want to pick up a few Powerball tickets with Wednesday's jackpot inching close to half a billion dollars.
The Powerball jackpot continues to climb as there hasn't been a winner since October. The jackpot now rests at $454 million.
The Michigan Lottery's Jake Harris told WWJ Newsradio 950's Beth Fisher that it's not a history-making amount, but it's still plenty for anyone and their immediate family to retire with.
The odds of winning aren't that positive though -- there's only a one in 292 million chance of anyone winning the jackpot, said Harris.
Harris reminds people to check their tickets since a $150,000 Powerball prize went unclaimed this week -- one year after the drawing.
