The couple were just north of the Village of Rosebush when a deer entered the roadway in front of them and the motorcycle struck the animal.
Neither the man or woman were wearing helmets, authorities added.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found the husband has sustained serious injuries while his wife was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man was rushed to a local emergency room, but had to be airlifted to Grand Rapids for further medical care.

The tragic incident follows days another fatal crash involving a deer killed a woman and injured her husband in West Michigan.
