
(WW) A 25-year-old woman is multiple facing felony charges in a shooting at a Macomb County apartment complex.
Shelby Township Police said the incident happened early Saturday morning at the Fox Lane Apartments, located off West Utica Rd. in Shelby Township.
Officers were initially called to the scene, at around 4:30 p.m., on a report of several people arguing in the street.
While officers were en route, the call was upgraded to shots fired, police said, after one vehicle was seen striking another -- and one of two female drivers involved reportedly pulled out a gun and shot several rounds at the other car.
The victim then tried to drive away before losing control and jumped a curb in the parking area and nearly hitting a tree, police said, The vehicle finally came to a stop in front of one of the apartment building where it then caught fire.
Officers arrived, everyone involved was detained, and the fire was put out.
Fortunately, no one was injured, police said.
A gun was recovered and the suspect — identified as Simone Powell — was arrested.
Powell was arraigned Monday afternoon on one count of Assault With Intent To Do Great Bodily Harm Less Than Murder, one count of Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property, one count of Felony Firearm, and one count of Carrying Concealed Weapon. Bond was set at $50,000 cash/surety.
