(WWJ) – It’s no secret that Detroit is the city that “put the world on wheels.” So it’s safe to say the Woodward Dream Cruise is the quintessential Michigan event.

The Dream Cruise first began in 1995 and nearly three decades later has become the largest single-day car event in the world. The event will draw about 1.5 million people to the area, with around 75,000 cars taking to Woodward, with cruisers heading out early all week.

But is there more to the event than just the cars? On a new Daily J podcast, WWJ’s Zach Clark went cruising to look for an answer as to why so many people love the event.
