FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) -- After investigating last month's sexual assault charges, the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office (OCPO) has filed multiple new counts of criminal sexual conduct against Dr. Zvi Levran, and Farmington Hills police have taken him into custody.
On Thursday, Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald authorized ten new CSC charges, all connected to medical exams Levran conducted for youth hockey organizations.
Levran already faces four counts of 3rd Degree CSC and three counts of 4th Degree CSC. Those charges were filed after a 19-year-old patient alleged that Levran had assaulted him during an exam on October 18, 2022.
The new charges include:
-- One count of 2nd Degree CSC
-- One count of 3rd Degree CSC
-- Eight counts of 4th Degree CSC
The defendant had been out on bond. He turned himself in to Farmington Hills police and was arraigned on Friday morning before Magistrate Michael Sawicky of the 47th District Court. Levran was represented by his personal counsel, Attorney Joseph Lavigne, and pleaded not gulity.

-- no assaultive or threatening behavior
-- subject to home confinement except for medical/legal/work reasons
-- no unsupervised contact with any patients
-- may not treat any patient at his home
At this time, Levran remains housed in the Oakland County Jail.
A pre-exam conference is scheduled for December 7 before 47th District Court Judge James Brady. A preliminary exam date is pending.
