Pistons rookie Jaden Ivey was putting on a show Saturday in Summer League play out in Las Vegas.

Through the first five minutes of the contest with the Wizards, Ivey was a perfect 2-for-2 from the field, including one from three-point range, and 6-for-6 from the free throw line. He also notched two assists as the Pistons raced out to an early 21-11 lead.

But then Ivey’s day – and potentially his Summer League stint – came to an end in a hurry.

Ivey went up for a three-pointer midway through the first quarter, only to come down on the foot of Isaiah Todd, who was issued a flagrant foul for not giving the Pistons’ No. 5 pick enough space to land.

After sinking all three free throws, Ivey limped off the court and he wouldn’t return to the game. Not a pretty sight for the Pistons.

On Sunday, however, Ivey took to Twitter to ease the minds of Detroit fans, saying the injury was “nun major.”

“I’m good,” the former Purdue Boilermaker said.

While Ivey’s status moving forward hasn’t been clarified, many are expecting Detroit to keep him out for the rest of Summer League play, with nothing really on the line. The Detroit News reports the "level of concern seems low."

On the bright side, fans probably saw enough from him on Friday to feel good about the top-5 pick.

A day before his hot start on Saturday, Ivey had an impressive Summer League debut against the Trail Blazers, putting up 20 points on 6-of-14 shooting (2-of-5 3FG), six rebounds and six assists.

The Pistons return to action – most likely without Ivey in the mix – on Tuesday night when they take on the Pacers.
