Choke noises kicked off The Valenti Show with Rico on Wednesday after Michigan lost to 11th seed UCLA Tuesday night in the NCAA tournament.
"That's one of the worst losses in Michigan basketball history," Valenti said, acknowledging that his opinion would anger many. "You walked into that game last night and couldn't break 50. Stop terrible in pressure free throw situations and lost your last eight show ... including not one, but two in the last 20 seconds."
He added: "That is a choke."
Was the season a waste? Is Juwan Howard a bad coach? He wouldn't say that, but he did say Michigan is a Top Eight Blue Blood program. And if it was any other elite team, Michigan fans would have no end of fun at their expense.
The loss was so bad that Valenti said it was worse than Michigan State's loss to Texas Tech a few years ago.
"I don't know what I was watching," Valenti said.
