(WWJ) A Warren intersection will be closed for several hours after a driver crashed into a utility pole.
Police said the driver was speeding when he lost control and crashed into the pole, at 12 Mile Rd. and Schoenherr.
Wires were brought down in the intersection, and the traffic light was not functioning properly following the incident.
Late Tuesday morning, DTE Energy crews were working on the issue, with the intersection still closed to traffic.
It's unclear at this time if, or how badly, the driver was injured.
Drivers asked to avoid the area.
