30-year-old Houston-area man killed by train in Slidell

St. Tammany authorities says a pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in the Slidell area. The coroner's office today identified the man as 30-year-old Bradley Hayes of Baytown, Texas.

According to the sheriff's office, Norfolk Southern Railroad officials called them when Hayes' body was found on the tracks near Bayou Liberty Road and Carr Drive around 4:00 p.m. Thursday.

It's not known why Hayes was on the tracks at the time he was struck. The case is still under investigation.
