New Orleans Police say a man riding his bike on the Lafitte Greenway was attacked.
"The victim was... stopped by a unknown black male," according to the NOPD Major Offense Log. "The suspect produced a metal bat and struck the victim."
The report say the suspect then robbed the victim.
"The victim complied handing over his cell phone and wallet. The suspect then demanded the victims pin number to the cell phone, the victim complied and the suspect fled the location."
It happened early Sunday morning at 12:52am near N. Johnson Street and Lafitte Street.
