The Cleveland Browns agreed to acquire superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. from the New York Giants on Tuesday night in a megatrade that transforms the NFL landscape.
ESPN reported the Giants will recieve a first-round pick (No. 17 overall) and third-round pick in 2019 in addition to safety Jabril Peppers.
The move signals the resurgent Browns' ambitions to be serious playoff contenders in Baker Mayfield's second NFL season. Browns wideout Jarvis Landry is Beckham's college teammate and one of his closest friends.
It's another step toward rebuilding for the Giants, who finished 5-11 last season.
