New Orleans Police say a man stopped at Tulane Ave. and South Jefferson Davis Pkwy. was robbed and carjacked.
"The victim was stopped at the intersection when an unknown black male approached the driver’s side door and grabbed the steering wheel," according to the Major Offense Log.
The report says a woman then approached from the other side of the vehicle.
"The female got into the passenger side and grabbed the victim's wallet from the seat. The victim accelerated, leaving the male behind. The female then jumped out of the vehicle with the victim’s wallet."
The driver then decided to try and chase down the woman on foot. "The victim got out and chased her, attempting to retrieve his wallet."
Things then went from bad to worse.
"Upon returning to his vehicle, he found it was stolen."
