New Orleans Police are investigating a shooting this evening.
The shooting happened in the 8700 block of Stroelitz. Initial reports show a male victim with a gunshot wound to the leg.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Upon further investigation, detectives have determine this shooting to be a negligent injury (39). No further details are available at this time.
