The Louisiana Department of Health says regular dental checkups are too risky during the pandemic, and maybe some other routine appointments should be put on hold, too.
The announcement on dentists may have been somewhat obvious, with patients spending long stretches with their mouths wide open, that looked to be a good way to transmit the COVID-19 coronavirus. Louisiana Department Of Health immunizations director Dr. Frank Welch says any appointment that means close contact should probably be avoided.
