Chris Miller has been part of the WWL news team since 2000, bringing decades of experience, sharp instincts, and steady judgment to the stories that matter most in Louisiana and across the Gulf South.

Chris came to WWL from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where he spent three years working in both television and radio. During that time, he earned awards for his coverage of Hurricane Georges in 1998, helping communities understand a major storm and its aftermath. Before that, Chris covered news in his hometown of Mobile, Alabama, and even earlier got his first real taste of the business as an intern at WWL-TV — an early connection that would later bring him home to radio.

Since joining WWL, Chris has built a reputation as one of the station’s most reliable and accomplished reporters. He has been named Louisiana Associated Press Reporter of the Year multiple times and has earned regional and national Edward R. Murrow Awards from the Radio Television Digital News Association, recognition of his commitment to accuracy, depth, and responsible journalism.

A graduate of Tulane University, Chris is deeply connected to New Orleans and the region he covers. You’ll hear that local knowledge and perspective in his reporting, whether he’s covering breaking news, major storms, or the everyday stories that define life in South Louisiana.

Off the air, Chris enjoys following the Saints and Pelicans, and while his loyalty lies with the Green Wave, he’ll occasionally pull for LSU - as long as it doesn’t conflict with Tulane.
