The coronavirus has taken another young life in Louisiana.
Gov. John Bel Edwards said the child who died was under the age of ten, but had a compromised immune system.
"There is a risk to everyone out there regardless of their age," said Edwards. "We certainly should remember the families of all these people and lift them up in prayer."
Further details about the case were not released.
It's the second death of someone under 18 with the virus, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.
