Drews Brees posted a message on Instagram to Saints fans, telling them he was heading into surgery with his wife Brittany by his side.
Brees is undergoing surgery to repair the torn ligament damage in his throwing hand, when his thumb hit Rams DL Aaron Donald on Sunday.
Brees posted that today is Brittany's birthday and this is how she is spending it.
The surgery is being done in Los Angeles.
